T. BHAIJI

Graduation internship from Feb 2027

I design electrical hardware and write the firmware that runs it.

Final year of an Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree in Arnhem. Six projects below, five of them for a real client: power electronics, battery diagnostics, solar and storage, MV/LV distribution.

I like problems where the failure mode is physical.

I am in the fourth and final year of an Electrical & Electronic Engineering degree at HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem, and most of it has been spent on projects with a client on the other end: Milence, Dott, Royal HaskoningDHV, and a working farm in Madhya Pradesh.

The deliverable was never the report. It was a board that had to survive a stalled motor, a tester a warehouse technician could use without training, or an array that still has to carry a guesthouse through a monsoon. That changes how you design: you stop optimising for the typical case and start designing for the day something goes wrong.

I have led two of those teams: seven people on the Milence project, four on an autonomous steering box. Both times the hard part was the dependency that never arrived, and whether I had a fallback ready before I needed one. I did not, either time, so now I plan one at the start.

I write the software around the hardware too: embedded C on ESP32 and STM32, MATLAB and Simulink models, and desktop tooling in Python when the thing I need does not exist. I am looking for a graduation internship from February 2027, and a first engineering role after I graduate in July 2027.

What I use, and where I used it.

Power electronics and hardware

  • PCB design and layout (Altium Designer, EasyEDA)
  • High-current design, thermal management, design-for-manufacture review
  • Gate drivers, MOSFET selection, H-bridge topologies
  • Electrical safety and manufacturability review

Embedded and firmware

  • Embedded C on ESP32 and STM32 (Nucleo-G474RE)
  • RS-485 and Modbus RTU, CAN with DBC, I²C, SPI, UART
  • Protocol work on undocumented and non-standard devices
  • Interface protection and fault handling

Renewable energy and power systems

  • Solar PV and storage sizing and installation (PVSYST)
  • MV/LV distribution design, load and capacity planning
  • IEC 60364, 60909 and 62439 applied in design work
  • Short-circuit and maximum-demand calculation

Modelling, test and tooling

  • MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow plant and control models
  • LTspice circuit simulation
  • Test plans: unit, functional block, integration, acceptance
  • Python tooling: pdfplumber, openpyxl, pytest, local web apps on the stdlib
